City of Pensacola CRA Lunch Meting with DPZ CoDesign

The Community Redevelopment Agency  (CRA) invites the Pensacola development and architecture communities to a Lunch and Learn meeting with DPZ CoDesign on the proposed CRA Urban Design Standards Overlays.

This special video conference/workshop with the CRA’s consultant, DPZ CoDesign, is scheduled for NAIOP and AIA members on Thursday, March 15, 2018 from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. CST at Pensacola City Hall, 222 West Main Street, Pensacola Florida in the Hagler Mason Conference Room located on the 2^nd Floor.  The workshop will provide an additional opportunity for the development community to learn about the CRA Urban Design Standards Overlay project, ask questions, discuss concerns and provide input.  We hope the all NAIOP and AIA members will participate in this effort.

The downtown urban core of Pensacola’s Community  Redevelopment Area (CRA) is in a renaissance!  As redevelopment moves westward into previously underdeveloped CRA neighborhoods, the CRA is working to continue the success experienced downtown in creating attractive, walkable, affordable and livable inner city neighborhoods of character.  

The CRA has engaged DPZ, a consulting firm of international renown, to prepare recommendations on the preparation of urban design standard overlays for its CRA neighborhoods which are not currently located within a special review district.  The CRA seeks to maximize opportunity for the engagement and input of the Pensacola development community (NAIOP) and architecture community (AIA) as recommendations for these overlays are developed.
