HABITAT FOR HUMANITY BUILD DAY
AIA Florida Northwest will host its first volunteer opportunity of the year in conjunction with Habitat for Humanity of Bay County. We will be hanging sheetrock for a new residence in Callaway on May 20th from 8 AM to 2 PM. Please wear clothing appropriate to construction work, to include closed-toed shoes and long pants. WOMEN IN ARCHITECTURE PODCAST DISCUSSION
Join AIA Florida Northwest for a meet-up to discuss the third episode of the New Angle: Voice podcast by the Beverly Willis Architecture Foundation, about the work of Helen Liu Fong. A Chinese-American architect based in Los Angeles, Fong was a pioneer of the city’s “Googie” style of architecture. She designed many of the city’s iconic mid-century interiors during her career with the firm Armet and Davis. You can read more about her here.
