Explore how we can strive to optimize design aesthetics, increase productivity, and improve the health and well-being of humans in an architectural environment through thoughtful lighting design.

Learning Objectives:

  • Apply accurate terminology in describing the color and color temperature of light
  • Discuss the limitations of, and alternatives to, Color Rendering Index (CRI) in characterizing color rendering
  • Recognize the growing body of research on the relationship between light, human circadian rhythms, wellness and productivity
  • Describe how to harnessing emerging LED technology can help to create optimized Human-Centric lighting
